Acronyms

Schlumberger has acronyms galor.  I suspect by the time I retire I will be thinking in acronyms.  Not only do they have hundreds of acronyms, some of the acronyms are the same but for different things. Here is a list of the one I have used in the blog so if you get confused just look here.

• D&M – Drilling and Measurements – the segment I am a part of
• DD- Directional Driller
• EQG – Equatorial Guinea
• FE – Field Engineer
• IM – International Mobile
• LWD – Logging while drilling
• M/LWD – Measuring/Logging while drilling
• MLWD - Measuring/Logging while drilling
• MWD – Measuring while drilling
• SLB – Schlumberger – the company I work for.
